For sure you don't have to go to the extreme of using AA bulls on heifers. You can do pelvic measuring and use regular Angus bulls that have high CED scores, or just check on heifers a few times per day during calling season and that makes the most sense for most people. When I say using AA bulls is easier, I mean you don't have to do any of those things and you just won't have to worry about finding dead calves or heifers.
