The tests ive seen and done our selves on pelleted litter its not worth the extra cost of the pellets vs just putting down decent dry litter at normal rates.


I was pondering taking a crack at using pelletized litter in a strip till band. Do you think the localized concentration of fertility near the root zone would warrant the extra expense? I’m currently using layer litter and have no source for a pelletized product but it seems like an interesting idea


If you can get local raw litter applied reasonably I don't think it'll have a positive ROI to put pellets in a strip. The only positive of pellets is freight eats up less margin for us organic guys who truck them a long way and they spread easily.
