West Union, Illinois

My first experience with Milwaukee was working for the propane company.  All the corded hand tools were Milwaukee.

At one time on the farm we had 6 different batteries.  Craftsman 18 volt, DeWalt 18 volt, Lincoln (12 or 14 volt?), Makita (old, Dad's first cordless), and a couple others.  Then I stumbled on Milwaukee M12.  Then son-in-law got an M18.

I still have some 18 volt DeWalt I use around home.  Durn things won't die.  But did you know you can get a Dewalt to M18 adapter?!

The M12 stuff is mostly in PackOut kits I carry in my pickup.

About everything else is M18

It's really nice working in the shop or especially in the field and only need one battery.  Run out?  use the spare or grab one of another tool.

I've gone through several leaf blowers on the combine.  The M18 leaf blower just keeps running.  Need to vacuum out a cab?  The M18 shop vac is great.  Need to break something loose?  If the M18 1/2" impact doesn't do it we have a 1" locked up in the safe.
