If you decide to hold longer than the period you are allowed to sell in, you can have a vet or salebarn manager verify the number of head on hand and it would suffice for records. Then you can keep feeding or do what you wish. This would be what a guy that background heifers and keep to breed rather than sell could do.

Personally the expense is getting a little out of hand. I think it depends on ones scenario. I think it boils down to-the instance this thing falls out of bed everyone will be very happy they had it. But the 3 or 4 years you spend buying it with no claim might just be a wash in the end.
