Here, any car can be rebuilt and sold as salvage.  Some may not have had much of
any issues, just cosmetic, light front or rear damage.  I have a neighbor that buys and
fixes these up.  Some may have had a massive side hit, frame damaged, doors and more
all bent up, etc.
The cost for repairs these days will force an insurance company to total and sell them
at salvage auction.  For example, a $20K car with a $10 K repair bill gets totaled and goes
down the road.
Try to find out what kind of damage it had.  Do your homework, it could pay off, and remember
the value will always be at least 30% less because of salvage title.
Some sellers are just used car lots, have no knowledge, just want to make a $1,000. or more.
