SE MN | I am in the market for a different commuter car. For some reason, a lot of the type of car I am looking at have rebuilt titles. I'm sure that some of them had minimal damage and are a great deal but I'm sure there are some that have tweaked frames and will have endless problems. What is the best strategy when looking at a car with salvage title? Will a dealer inspection spot serious problems? Can they spot frame problems with an alignment rack if the wheels are in line? Will a carfax report provide enough info to know what was damaged? All the sellers will say that the damage was cosmetic only, but most insurance companies aren't going to total a car for cosmetic damage. | |
