Good friends of ours have a class B Ram Winnebago Travado. Actually on their second one. They’ve put 133,000 miles on them total.
Before my wife would let me buy a small camper she wanted to try one to make sure we wouldn’t kill each other in that small a space.
So my friend loned us theirs for a ten day trip. We loved it. Got about 17 mpg with the gas engine. Very easy to drive and it fit in smaller campsites at national parks. He had installed an anti-sway bar and it handled strong side winds surprisingly well.
Only drawback was it strictly sleeps two people. We ended up buying a tiny 21 ft fifth wheel (Escape made in Canada). It has a queen bed for us and dinette converts to an even bigger bed for grandkids. Everything is bigger in it compared to the class B - fridge, kitchen, storage. When we unhook we have a 4wd pickup to get around in. But I will say the Travato was very handy. Mainly depends on your space needs.
