Noticed Rice, at 5-7, playing in bowl game. Did a quick search and found that they, Mississippi State and Appalachian State all went to bowls with losing records because teams opted out of bowls. I think a losing team shpould be banned from bowl games. I remember a few years ago Nebraska got invited with a losing record, supposedly because their fans travel well.
