Subject: RE: My 2004 Buick keeps going.

Cherokee County, Northwest Iowa
2001 Buick LaSabre, 165,000 miles. Watched a YouTube video last week, telling the 5 most common problems with that era and brand of car-easy to diagnose, not all that hard or expensive to fix - I have had 4 out of the 5, waiting for the blower motor to go bad. The list didn't include the power window regulators going bad-I finally watched some YouTube videos how to replace them, then bought $ 10 worth of tools off of Amazon to fix them myself.

I did get lucky 10 days ago-left my shop here in town headed out for a late lunch, have to drive around my neighbor's (and friend's) car repair shop, went 100 feet, heard a squeal coming from rear end, assuming it is the rear wheel bearings. Turned right around, mechanic was unlocking his front door at 1 pm, heard me drive up with the squeal. He smiled, said he was booked up big time over the holidays, bring it back in Jan. Lucky that the bearings didn't decide to go out halfway between Broken Bow and North Platte, eh?

I have already told my neighbor, the local funeral home director, to just plan on using my Buick to haul the pallbearers to and from the cemetery when my time on this Earth is done.

Happy New Year everyone! Bruce
