For some reason he has had a hard on for GM for a long time. I presume he owned a GM product at one time that was less than stellar. He constantly brags about his Ford Super Duty and usually throws in a dig at GM. I've owned GM trucks my whole life and can honestly say I never had a lemon. Yes there have been issues but nothing major. The only Ford product I ever owned was a Taurus car. I couldn't wait to get rid of it. The only car I hated worse was an Oldsmobile Intrigue that my daughter had. Now THAT was not one of GM's best efforts. It was a piece of crap.
When you need them to pull a sandblasting trailer ( your income ) and you have 3 that are broke and you cant make money to feed your family . Yep it makes you sour on them .
Many times , the old K-30 was pulled out of retirement and put back to work .
Its every bit as good as my super duty , heck might be better . 454/ 4 speed / 4:10 .
I think it would almost pull with my 6.7 super duty .
Not be a bit afraid to load my steel stock trailer with it hooked on and head to sale .
Still have it , Had an 84 K -30 , super good pickup too .
