West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
Yup, they all break eventually. I've always been of the opinion that the 3.8 GM motor is nothing real special.

One of my nephew's bought a really clean, right right at 100,000 mile Buick with the 3.8 in it...the plastic head gasket went out the first week he owned it which is as it turns out was a common problem.

My daughter using some of her FFA hog raising earnings bought a clean really nice looking two door Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.8 in it that had about 150,000 miles on it ...the plastic coolant pipes/elbows failed which was another common problem.

My least cost/mile vehicles over the years have been Chrysler mini vans and a 2009 AWD Ford Taurus. I'm hoping my Taurus makes one more winter...it looks MN salt brine winter roads will be the demise of my 250,000+ mile Taurus before a major mechanical failure.
