SC NE | My sister is convinced she wants a couple milk cows and found a Dexter yearling heifer. I'm partial to Angus, so I'm trying to do my research on Dexters. The plan is to breed the Dexter back to another Dexter until she gets a second heifer or finds another cow. Then cross them with angus to feed out the calves for our beef customers. We have a couple small patches of grass to run them on, and supplement with hay/grain. I'm sure we're in for a learning experience, but looking for any advice I can get. | |
