NWMO | The main concern with no till liquid fertilizer applications such as this is that some of the N will tie up with the soybean residue. I would have little to no concern for seed safety when applying fertilizer as you described. How would the fertilizer, which at this point would be fully absorbed into the soil/residue, make contact with the seed, especially in a high enough capacity to damage seed/seedlings?
It sounds to me as though you're not doing any form of strip tillage and/or NH3, is that correct? | |
