Some doctors ask for a few dollars up front before an outpatient procedure, for example, but we have never paid the hospitals or doctors upfront. As Jay said, they wait for insurance companies to pay , so they are very cooperative on discounts and payment terms.
It is a leap of faith to change from insurance to a Share program. Fear keeps a lot of people paying high monthly premiums for coverage with outrageous deductibles.
