I will still supplement mineral, too many areas have different profile due to natural variation, not that some cows cannot "make do" , but I am pretty sure with out mineral supplementation I would ever reach 66% fresh in the first 3 weeks.


If you’re going to halt mineral maybe restart migration?

Different areas have different amounts—-

Area of Wyoming everybody knew cow/calf would fail over time, but yrlgs brought in for grass did good.

Then discovered Selenium lacking in soil.

Yrlgs had enuf in system to last—-

Cows, cumulative lack caught up to them


I NEVER said that, would not dream of even trying that, here we have virtually no naturally occuring Seleinum, would be just asking for all sorts of calving, breeding and calf vitality issues by not feeding mineral. I am simply questioning the conventional wisdom of worming cattle always pays-that was all, some of these guys need to read the words written in my original post, not what others are attributing to me.
