| You gentlemen need to go back and read the actual post for what it says, not what you think I said, this is supposed to be discussion on how as an industry we never question what big pharma tells us. I am not going to stop feeding minmeral, nothing I wrote says that, what I said is with proper management I am not sure that worming a cow calf herd actually pays any one but the drug comapnies, especially if one is goinmg ot give a full dose from the 3 different classes fo wormers. I am not organic, I have afairly robust vaccination program, better then most in this part of the country. I do believe in genetic selection to overcome problems TOO A POINT ON LY!!!! From what I have ascertained from a few different sources THE INDUSTRY is concerned about resistance because they have no new classes of wormers in development. Yes more pounds tends to mean more money, but just like the guys milking cows or producing row crops sometimes one can buy that last unit of production cheaper on the open market then produce it. | |
