Mainly in my career Acetochlor has been unpredictable on how it reacts with corn. In an hours time I’ve seen it go from little to no response to burning the heck out of it for really no reason at all. I’m all about low to no crop response in corn. I have cost myself more yield in my life from stressing corn than I care to.
With that said water based Acetochlor is more forgiving.

I judge chemistry performance by looking at final ear. If I see response to rows around or kernel set I go back to the drawing board.
