That's an amazing story and no doubt it's true. But the only positive 1 on here.
Most people don't want to "negotiate", nor shd they have to.
Blue Cross is the Cadillac but comes with a Cadillac price.
Sharing is not for everyone. I agree.
Blue Cross is also not for everyone. I am glad to have choices.
With insurance, we are going down a path that is not sustainable. Health insurance prices continue to rise and the things covered are less. You are restricted on which doctors and hospitals you can get covered care at. What happens when you want to go to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment but your insurance says NO? They want you to go to XYZ which has bad reviews or outcomes for the procedure that you need. Do you go to XYZ or do you go to Cleveland Clinic which has the most success for that procedure? |
