Thye tubs I sell have a double exit, I tell guys that if you buy one try to use the exit on the end of the tub rather then the one on the side. My bet is if you put the exit by the hinge then some will stick their nose in the other coner at the point. I tell guys this right after I tell them "look in to a Bud box System before you buy a tub, I can sell you new gates to put it together for about 1/2 as much money as a tub, and many guys have something sitting around in inventory they can use. Only advantages I see with a tub is you have a gate between you and the animals more of the time you are working them and if inside a building with some of the Formost designs above you can make if it in a much narrower footprint.

Y’know, as I get older and seem to often have somebody who wants to help but limited experience——the “gate between you them” idea gets more attractive.

My Bud box can exit left or right on far end—-vets hydraulic or single file load on left, my chute on right.
It can be 20’ long-or 30’ depending if gate on trailer load out(near end) is blocking alley or trailer load out. I might see how a gate midway in box—-swing both ways——would fit—-would probably sheet it—-I just use delta rib, light and blocks vision—-would give a little extra crowd—-for that old gal that almost goes or that suddenly honky s.o.b. You’d just as soon not get in with.

Most of my cows flow good—-almost textbook good—-if you build a new set up and take some time to put them thru ‘open ended’ a few Times it pays off—-first time takes a while , second about half as long.
