Those damages you said the farmer in my analogy should sue for. The damages that athletic programs who have been relegated to second tier have to endure every year now with NIL and transfers being out of control. The schools with unending booster money are stealing from the other schools, and the other schools can’t sue for damages.
At best, it’s bad business. At worst, it’s outright theft.
