SESD
We have a 2015 4400? International N9 with a 6spd 3000 Allison (this is must in my opinion, do not get one with a 1k/2k Allison) We use it for grandpa to run grain 30ft tandem hopper. This is all its good for in my opinion. We had ideas like you. We've borrowed a king pin adapter and ran some loads of hay with it. Tires are a factor and DIFF Lock is a MUST HAVE. This thing is a wet noodle on dry hay ground, couldn't pull loaded hay up out of a driveway. We did not have a trailer brake control setup for the short little use and short hauls, but on gravel a 25k load of hay would goose the rear end around, I've hauled a lot of hay in a pickup and sub par trailer brakes that didn't do that.

In my opinion if you want to get a single ax truck, you need trailers that are designed for the same. goosenecks do not have the weight transfer design of a semi trailer, and you'll notice it
