I went to the USPS website, to their news section, to find out more.... I figured it should be there... I could not find anything on the USPS website on the subject.

I do see different news sources with articles on the issue. In fact, I found this on Snopes - this is one paragraph on a lengthy article that Snopes has on the subject:
