Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | Would the location that Precision Planting's Conceal setup places fertilizer... work as well as having some phosphorus, nitrogen, and micronutrients placed two inches below the seed and two inches to the left or right of the seed?
It's my understanding, Conceal places the fertilizer about 3 inches away from the seed. That doesn't concern me as much as being told the fertilizer is typically placed at the same depth as the seed itself with the Conceal system. I would think it would be better if the fertilizer was placed where the roots would intercept the fertilizer as they start their descent into the root zone. But I'm not sure if there would be much difference with Conceal to worry about.
What do you think?
