Looks to me like NIL money would cause a lot of division among players. The quarterbacks and running backs get all the glory and the lineman that make things happen for them get nothing.
They’re already getting “paid” by receiving a free education which is pretty good right there.
I think limiting the transfer portal to once through their college careers would teach them to make better life long decisions. The way it is set up now is if you don’t like it then move on. That isn’t teaching them to do their research and have commitment.
Both of these will bite the players and the fan base in the end. I’m already watching less college football because of it. You see a team one year then the next year several transfer around and it’s a completely different team next year. No continuity. I know there was always change due to graduation but not as rapidly as it happens now.
When you throw all this money into college sports it’s never going to turn out well. |
