Alpena MI | You are correct, I believe I misfigured my seed costs slightly. The trial strips are broken up by checks of 32k pop in-between each trial. This isn't a weigh wagon, replicated, university accurate study by any means. The replication to me, is the year after year repeatable results in doing this same type of test. If I trial something one year and I feel the results need further investigation, I broaden the trial the next year. After 5 years of doing this, I am confident in my findings for MYSELF, but it may not be repeated in another management system or area.
My point with posting this is to urge each individual farmer to do research on their own farm to find what works in their management system. | |
