I come from the Thumb of MI, where my Dad and brother still farm. I don't know what pops my brother is planting now, but I know he was planting up to 40k. I believe he pulled back from that some. It seems there is a sweet spot in pops vs. yield, and every farmer should find out where that is on his own farm, with his own soil management system.
