Alpena MI | This year was an extreme outlier yield wise. We beat our farm average yield record by 23 bushels. This particular field beat it's previous record by 55 bushels. Even in this year's yield environment, my findings mirrored the past 4 years. Previous trials always included pops up to 40k but I didn't do that this year do to some standability issues and consistent lower ROI on pops higher than 32k. Higher pops made slightly more bushels, but didn't cover seed costs consistently. | |
