we chopped it and it feed great,we added fine ground corn at 10% of the tonnage as we packed it in the pit,follow the cutter about 1 round behind,chop as short as chopper will gp,add corn as you pack.


Sounds like you pretty well made it into silage. How did it feed when you loaded it out of the pile? I really want to know more about that we have talked about doing it before also. This may be the year we have 200 acres of trit we’re going to chop. I also want to try to dry bale a little bit to grind with stalks but don’t know how tough it’ll be to get it dried down
