Thank you very much for sharing..very well done.

Brother, this reminds me of the time Big John stud came down to watch me wrestle. We ended up having this exact same argument.

He's got a little farm in Illinois. Deep top soil, very consistent, good organic matter, great fertility... He's always telling me I need to lower my population. But I pulled out my folder where I had done a population trial with pioneer for a couple years.
* Four hybrids
* Four different test plots
* Same four populations.
Every test plot yield followed population.
More plants=more yield
He lives in an area that you can put quality into an ear,
parts unknown is a place that you need quantity over quality

Different environments, different rules

And brother, if anyone wants to argue corn population on your farm, you just let me know. We can Tag up like me and Macho did in 92 and we'll put the gorilla slam of agronomy on them.
