Wisconsin | R12 is not exceptionally expensive, or hard to handle. Not sure I like the idea of trusting a freezer that may have a leak, even if it's full of chicken not beef. But if you have to fill it again in 2057, probably not too bad. Is the compressor running? making anything cold? outside warm? low refrigerant will frost up a small part of the wall when you first turn it on but not get the whole freezer cold. | |
