I bought cows that were open and thin. Worked good for me.
You got to be able to pick and choose when they are coming through the ring. Can’t buy every open cow.

Few here and few there this is what gave me the idea there is a lot of nicer cows going thru the weigh up sale. I’m not going to buy junk. But you can tell the difference in being old broken mouth or just needing some feed. Some of these cows just lack a mineral program. Or guys leave them on grass or stalks tell last possible second. I’ve seen them change so fast body condition wise getting put on a good balanced feed ration |
