Like I said, we have done it and they have made great cows. On young cows sometimes they just need a little extra time to develop could just as easily be a reason as any other. We only buy heiferettes, try to stay away from anything with too much age on them.
This honestly was what I was considering. I’m not going to be able to do 80 at a time or anything like that but figured if I could pick around and get 15-20 bought on the younger side or something that jus needs a little feed or the hfr et style of them get em bred back and jump there condition and sell them as breds. Get to feed them and breed them watch them start to turn into something g good. Southwest Iowa here so plenty of feed and space on stalks and cover crops |
