Subject: 4 Months ago.........

We allowed our 2 year old and 5 year old to attend my grandmother's visitation and prayer service, but not the funeral. I'm still not sure it was the right decision. The 2 year old never understood, just that grandma was sleeping. The 5 year old makes all sorts of references to the visitation and death quite frequently. When the questions started................. Are you going to die? Who will take care of me if you die? Does everyone die? Why did she die? Are you going to die today? Am I going to die?............etc. I am no child psychologist, I think answering these questions were constructive, however, I can see it has somewhat damaged him also. Children will also be children, just when you don't want them to say anything, they will. FWIW..... Sorry for your loss.
