Im figuring just “buying” hay for winter months in this scenario. 150 dollars gross costs per ewe per year not including the pasture. That’s 500x150=75,000 so 75000\160= 468 dollars per acre sheep expense. That’s less than corn or beans.
Are we doing it wrong?
