Cullom, Illinois
I’ve been saying the same thing for a couple years. You’d need a good calving barn and dry lot for winter/early spring. An old Harvestore feedlot with an H bunk would be perfect. And several different varieties of forage to spread out the grazing season. Plus you may want to put up some forage for winter feeding. That could be bought so you don’t need the equipment.Perimeter fence and paddock gates will cost more than a couple thousand but should last a lifetime. Your going to get push back from the corn/bean, ceramic coat my combine while I’m drunk in Florida guys. But I think it is workable.
