Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass | I’ve found the ribbon makes good gates. BUT don’t use it to carry the load to the rest of the fence. Bury a double insulated wire under the gate to carry the load, and wire the gate so it’s dead when open and gets energized when closed.
It also has a worse tendency to burn through when there’s a short down stream of the gate
