There have been some very good buys on 1100 and 1300 C series Rogators recently. There are some very specific maintenance items that are hour-based (axle linkage comes to mind), but most have been owned by coops or farm service companies and have been maintained to the manual's timing as they don't want any in-season downtime.

My brother got what we thought was a great buy on an 1100C last year (under 4000 hours), then I heard of a 1300 going for even less at under 3000 hours, both at just over $60k. The 1300 has heavier drive components too. We put about $3-4k in parts in the 1100C to re-vamp all the things on the front of the engine. One piece of advice on the C series... do not put aftermarket GPS and spray components on...they are not easily compatible.

We run a 1300C also, bought it with 680 hrs, it has 2100 on it now and I really like it. It is the only agco machine on the farm. I have a few neighbors with Apache, the C series has a lot more capability, the recirculating booms and ease of chemical cleanout would make up my mind. I would recommend just jumping up to the C series and you will jump over some of ROGATOR’s trials and small problems to creating the C series.
