Eastern Nebraska | We bought a couple predator 13000 watt generators this spring to run things after a blizzard. Power was out here for 5 days. Generator ran 24 hours a day for those 5 days. Got along good and didn't have any problems with generator. Already had a hookup to the house because we added it when we remodeled a few years ago. One thing we noticed on generator power digital clocks would run faster. They gained something like 6-8 minutes in 24 hours. The water from the electric water heater was hotter. And the coffee pot was hotter also. Someone I was talking to said generator electricity is a slightly different frequency than grid power. Its been 9 months since we had to use them and have seen no problems with any of our electronics so far. | |
