If auto start and auto transfer is not needed, and a tractor is available, a PTO generator is the best best bet. The Onan/Cummins units are the best, see a lot re-claimed from RV's. Another option would be a portable welder/generator like a Miller. Have all, each has their advantages and disadvantages. Need to to make sure the quality of the produced power meets your needs.
