NE IA | Its done every year by a lot of people. All the people speaking negetively forget that there are places that that cows are sold for a lot of reasons and especially with the price of young weigh cows right now, if she has trouble calving or loses her calf she is sent to town vs feeding for an entire year. No fault of hers or anything to do with repro issues, not saying they cant have repro issues but there are a ton of rebreeds run out on grass around here all summer long. Heck I have done it with very good success and kept them and calved them for 5+ years and never had more opens than any other year.
Biggest piece of advice is find someone that buys them for a living to buy them for you. Will save you a lot of the headache becuase they have a pretty good idea of what to buy. | |
