NENE | Years ago I opted for a late model 854 2002 I believe over an Apache. The Apache just looked a little flimsy to me at the time. I did have one wheel motor fail on the 854 and it was expensive but I've heard the ISO100 oil that they now recommend will greatly reduce failures. I now have an early model RG1100 Rogator with 100' booms. It hasn't been perfect but it's pretty nice and would be in your price range. It is quiet, powerful and has the planetary hubs. I think I paid around $60k and that's been more than a few years ago. You probably don't need the pulsing nozzles if you plan on driving a slower steady speed but some kind of section control is really nice. | |
