Could it work? Yes, it could. Is it the best approach? No, it isn't. 45 miles is nothing for a tractor drive (assuming tractor has cab). 3/4 ton pickup or bigger is the next best plan. I pulled a 12/30 with a 3/4 ton. Wouldn't want any lighter. Safe travels. Nice purchase.
