Farmers willing to convert cropland to pasture and set up intensive grazing management systems? I know most guys on “here” don’t want government help but NRCS basically pays you for your fencing, watering systems including winter waterers and even a well if needed. Of course the EQIP program is voluntary but you would think you would see more grazing systems going in, especially since row crop prices are in the shidder.


The NRCS Equip program is a nightmare. Sure they pay for some of it but you are stuck going through their hoops for a decade, like how everything gets cross fenced into little tiny 10 acres plots and you rotate every 4 days or whatever.

Also the president has killed a lot of interest with his big mouth. Swing the market $500+ and suddenly no interest. I wonder why.
