North Central US | Apache is 2wd from what I remember. I've seen them get stuck where other 4wds don't.
From what I remember reading about Rogators, basically 2010+ or even newer yet is what you want to cure the wheel motor problems and get an OK to decent cab.
However on your cab comments, Case and Deere had decent to ok cabs in the early 2000s, with Deere's being the same as their tractors.
You want power adjust wheels for sure. They are very handy yet optional until surpringly recently.
Most SPs have a "raven wheel" or equivalent that adjusts your output to speed. You'll say you won't drive fast like the custom guys do but with autosteer and the raven wheel its kinda hard not to when you're in the middle of the field with nothing to hit.
Boom size is overrated in my opinion.
Tires remember duals are a thing on high wheel sprayers.
One thing though that goes for anything high wheel: WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!
You may check wheels every day, you may have brand new everything, but you will never know if or when something will let go, break, or fall off, and when you are that high up and going any real speed, you're going end over end a few times. The cab should save you, but not if you're thrown around like in a washing machine or thrown out the broken windows and then smashed by the sprayer as its tumbling. | |
