Latimer Iowa | We had similar systems for feeding in part of our feedlot.
There were a number of farms in the area with silo setups and bunk feeders that quit feeding not long after the facilities were built. Silos in late 1970's and cattle left in early 80's. We had very good luck just stopping by some of these farms and buying almost new silo, bunk, barn cleaner, equipment and then moving to our place. Getting to be less of those abandoned facilities around but a day of driving around may net you some nice stuff for pennies on the dollar. | |
