I guess ill be the odd man out. Livestock is only way for me to expand to have a chance to have my boy cone back, luckily he loves cattle. Row crop is dead end imo. Rent is crazy, as soon as corn goes up. N goes up,rent goes up, etc never any margin in row crop. But i can go to a sale 6 days a week and will always be a soft spot somewhere that can buy cattle thst day that will lock a profit in. If i rent more ground it will take 5 yrs to turn a profit until the pivot is paid for and usually they want a answer immediately. I can go to a sale and find something profitable daily. Cant do thst w row crop.
