Subject: RE: Tree Shear

Not sure this is helpful but we pasture with eastern red cedars so thick that grass couldn't grow in some places. I've been using a 14 inch tree shear from Quick Attach, started out with their smaller one. The land had been neglected for a lot of years. On these trees if you cut below the lowest branch they don't regrow, but you have more species to deal with than I do. I'm adding a brush mower this year for weeds and sumac and smaller trees, and stumps. So far I've not used any chemicals other than spraying for weeds. I'm buying a brush mower this year to cut down sumac, mow along fence lines, and take out half rotted stumps.
