The weight loss came over time. The improvement in blood glucose is almost instant. Like in one day or less.
If a person is on diabetic medicine or especially insulin, they had better understand how to manage the medication because suddenly cutting carbs out of the diet WILL cause blood glucose to drop. And the medication could potentially cause it to drop percipitously to a dangerous level. I understood that and adjusted my own medication. If a person does not have a REALLY GOOD handle on such things better have their health professional help them through that transition. If they don't want to help or suggest against lowering carbs, find a new health care professional that will.
