Several years ago Trimble offered, and may still, a CenterPoint RTX subscription for “new” NAV900’s that were only Basic Accuracy unlocked. The price was higher than the normal CenterPoint RTX subscription to the level of buying RangePoint and CenterPoint subscription. The advertising clearly indicated “new” NAV900’s. The term “legacy model” came from a PTx Vantage dealer website. So, I figured there might be some underlying differences in capabilities, similar to have the early FMX displays had much more limited chipsets compared to the final versions.
Mostly curious because we’ve purchased several used GFX750 and NAV900 pairs and now updating the displays to GFX1260’s. If there’s a potential functionality difference in NAV900’s then that might be a factor in which one’s to add an unlock such as NextSwath.
Got it. Believe that was started in November 2024 as basically a "Part number change" for the software activation licenses. I don't know of a hardware difference, but more of a promotion offered when you bought a new reciever.
See the bulletin attached.
For your purposes, I don't know that it matters unless any of the receivers were sold new in late 2024-2025...they also would have had to have gotten the cheap CP RTX activated within 90 days to qualify the way I read the bulletin.
