I'm in the mini split camp. Seems like the best way to do it to me.

We have one of these at my Sportsman club, slightly larger room but it does a nice job keeping warm and with A/C in summer.
Search mini split on youtube, there is some DIY types and of course you can hire a pro... But looking at whats involved, location of the outside unit, power, and so on its not just a easy peasy job. Fairly complex but doable for a fella who is handy.
